Roosters Win Back-to-Back Games for First Time

NOVEMBER 1, 2020: The Roosters for the first time in team history have won back-to-back games after a 5-4 win over the Pylons tonight.

The game started off with a lot of back and forth play, but both Eshelby and Hlady kept the game scoreless. Steffen took a stick up high two minutes in, but was unable to convert on his penalty shots. About halfway through the first period, Gareau took a shot while falling down and was able to sneak a knuckle puck past Eshelby the give the Pylons the lead. The rest of the period was once again back and forth until Pylons leading scorer Ben Lukash picked up a loose puck in front and put it home to put the Pylons up by two with just over a minute to play in the first period.

The Roosters came out flying to start the second period, with Contreras netting two quick goals to tie it up, and Regnier putting home a loose puck around the post to give the Roosters the lead. The Roosters held onto the lead until the halfway point when Beaubien put one high blocker to tie it up at three. Beaubien converted on a penalty shot a few minutes later to give the Pylons the lead once again. With momentum beginning to swing back to the Pylons, Hope rushed the puck up the ice for a huge bardown goal to tie it up, before Contreras put home the game winning goal a minute later. Eshelby made some key saves late, including a few breakaway stops and a final shot from the point to seal the 5-4 victory.

- Contreras picked up another hat trick, bringing his goal total to fifteen on the year.

- Regnier and Hope scored the other goals for the Roosters.
