GAME RECAP: August 27th, 2020

AUGUST 27TH, 2020: The Roosters have dropped yet another game, their fifth in a row, following tonight's 9-3 loss to the Bang Gang on Thursday night. The Roosters have now fallen to 1-6-0 on the season.

The game saw the Roosters down 5-0 at the end of the first, but Eshelby kept the team in it until halfway through the first when the dams opened. The Roosters were outshot 19-9 in the period. Early in the second after the Bang Gang made it 6-0, Contreras, who lost a contact at the end of the first period put one past Elchuk to get the Roosters on the board. Unick and Delorme also added goals for the team.

The Bang Gang were led by Caleb Brodeur who tallied three goals on the night, while league assist leader Jesse Kripki added three goals and two assists in the big win for the Bang Gang who are a win away from going undefeated this summer.

Elchuk stopped 21/24 in the win, while Eshelby, who still played well despite the nine goals against, stopped 25/34 in the loss.

POTG: John Contreras gets POTG honours after a scoring with being essentially blind in one eye after losing one of his contacts.
