NOVEMBER 14TH, 2020: The Roosters head into tomorrow's matchup with the Pylons on a three game winning streak, and the Pylons come into tomorrow's matchup after a 11-0 thumping of the last place AWD.
The Roosters have continued to play extremely well so far this season much due in part to some great defensive play, excellent goaltending, and scoring in key moment. The team is currently tied with the division leading Blue Devils in goals against, and only trails them in goals against now. Captain John Contreras continues to show off his impressive goal scoring talent, leading the team in goals with sixteen and points with sixteen as well. Taylor Unick is second on the team in points and goals with twelve and six respectively. Goaltender Brandon Eshelby continues to hold the division lead with .877 save percentage (6th out 122nd in the league), and sits narrowly back of the third spot for the lead in GAA with 4.44 GAA in nine games played with the Roosters so far (Pylons Cole Gillespie holds second in GAA with 4.30 in only six games played so far).
The Pylons have played well to this point, sitting at .500 on the season. While not the most disciplined team in the league, they have managed to keep their games close with the exception of a few games. Ben Lukash leads the team in goals and points with fourteen and twenty respectively, while Jaydon Beaubien sits second in both categories with eight and fifteen respectively. Goaltender Cole Gillespie just came off a shutout against AWD last game and currently sits second in division GAA and third in save percentage.
The Pylons are coming off a thumping of AWD and will be revengeful after blowing a lead and the game last meeting against the Roosters, so the Roosters need to play a full game and limit their chances.
Game time is set for 6:45pm Monday at Jemini Arena.
